Frequently Asked Questions

What qualities and credentials do I look for in a leading Plastic Surgeon?

First, make sure the doctor you are considering is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Ask how long the physician has been in practice and how many years practicing in the same location. It is important that the physician demonstrate leadership, experience and integrity. How can I determine if my plastic surgeon's facility meets acceptable standards?

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) requires that a surgical facility be accredited by a national or state recognized accrediting agency/organization such as the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). To learn about our AAAASF accredited office facility and the AAAASF organization, please see our Facilities page.

What is the right time for a face lift?

Facial rejuvenation procedures can be done at various times in the patient's life, depending on how little or how much they need in the way of improvement or correction. During the consultation process, the patient will point out the areas about which he/she is concerned, and the plastic surgeon will decide what the right options would be at that time. Click here for a guide to procedures.

I want to look better, but still want to look natural. Is this possible?

Absolutely yes. The key to modern cosmetic surgery is for the patient to look terribly good but still look terribly natural.

If I have liposuction, does that mean the fat does not return to those areas of the body?

Generally the fat does not return to liposuctioned areas unless there is a dramatic weight gain. This highlights the fact that patients contemplating body contouring surgery (including liposuction) should also be dedicated to a healthy life style including appropriate diet and exercise

Will I be in pain durring my recovery?

In my 22 years of experience, I have seen that the vast majority of postoperative recovery pain and nausea is preventable. We have a detailed, state-of-the-art Pain Management Program (PMP) that is second to none to make recovery surprisingly comfortable. Call our staff for additional details about PMP or click on the link for the Pain Management Program.
